Mr. Putter and Tabby Paint the Porch, by Cynthia Rylant.
On the cover of the book, you can see a picture of Mr. Putter's porch. It has pink and blue spots all over it. How did the spots get there? What did Mr. Putter do about it?
Mr. Putter was painting his porch and Mrs. Teaberry came along to help. She brought her dog, Zeke. Zeke and Tabby both saw a squirrel and they got the idea of chasing it. All three of them began chasing each other around, having a good time, until they noticed Mr. Putter was upset. He was upset at first, because Zeke, Tabby and the squirrel had run through the paint and put their tracks all over the place!
In the end, Mr. Putter was happy with his final color: he left the animal prints all over, like it was their art work.
