The spring of 2002 was the start of our
chicken-raising experience. With a small flock of only six chicks, each two days old, we began our backyard farm. By the second day, sadly, our flock was reduced to five: Providence and Lil' Red (our Rhode Island Reds), and Ginger, Nugget & Picnic (our Golden Halcrosses).
